Lamb, Hogget and Mutton Cooperative
This project is an effort to pool far-flung sheep in smaller numbers into a central location and larger volume to market a more uniform product direct to consumers or a local buyer. We feel like this is an ideal way to market ram lambs, wethers and ewe lambs that are not suitable to be kept on as replacements as prime lambs and hoggets, and cull ewes and rams as mutton.
Our founding cooperative farms are Estes Farms in Oregon, Good Farms in Washington and Lacomb Lamb Company in Oregon.
We are working to produce the highest quality lamb, hogget and mutton with a sustainable modality from Pacific Northwest pastures. These sheep are working as a regenerative component in land and resource management, so it is not only delicious, but our sheep are actively engaged in restoring a healthy ecosystem.
If you are interested in entering the coop, please fill out the form below and we would love to visit. We'll fill you in on the process, talk about the sheep you have available and discuss the contract that our founding members composed.
